The Throat Chakra, Vishuddha, is also known as the Center of Purity. Located just above the pit of the throat, it is commonly related to the subtle ether element. Next to qualities like purity and dignity, Vishuddha is said to facilitate communication, true self-expression and a desire for the mysterious, for transpersonal concepts, and high knowledge.
