The Crown Chakra, Sahasrara, literally means the 1000 petaled one. Located on top of the head, it is also known as the “Brahmic Fissure”, because, at the moment of liberation, Consciousness could leave the body through this point to merge with the Absolute. Sahasrara’s full potential is said to appear in the form of a mystical experience and illumination, the transcendence of manifestation, which brings about the enlightened state overflowing with bliss. It is associated with ultimate lucidity, detachment and wisdom. Completely present in the moment, the mind stops and everything is seen as One.
